I’m a former student at Université Paris-Diderot and Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, where I specialised in corpus linguistics after a first thesis on the prison system in the United States. I have also been able to teach French as native speaker for the University of Glasgow for a year. After a pre-doctoral year at Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium), I have started my PhD as a student in Université Paris-Cité and Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Research Areas
My research interests revolve around masculinities and their construction in the digital age. I’m interest in digging into the world of how identities evolve through language on social media platform. For my PhD, my scope of analysis is the social media platform Reddit and communities that are known to be part of the “manosphere”. On these threads of discussion, men discuss and express radical masculinities and may drag each other into more and more radicality up to the point where some of these people decide to takes arms and perpetrate terrorist attacks.
